Topic:            The DLR/Eurocopter ‘FRIENDCopter”: Modal Analysis of the Active Twist Blade

Mihir Mistry has worked within the Flying Qualities group at Boeing for the past four years where his focus has primarily been in the area of modeling and simulation for various programs relating to the Chinook, the Osprey and most recently the Phantomswift aircraft (Boeing’s bid for the DARPA X-VTOL program). Prior to working at Boeing, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mihir earned his doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University where his research focus was on the application of smart structures to rotorcraft.
